Important Dates To Remember
April 15, 2009
Colonial representatives will begin receiving enrollment packages for the following AIP Benefit Programs:
- Errors and Omissions Insurance
- Group Life
- Group AD&D
- Group LTD (for those eligible)
- Individual Health Insurance including HSAs
May 1, 2009 - Open Enrollment
All representatives who currently participate in the voluntary purchase of Unum Life Insurance will be eligible to increase their coverage limits to a maximum of $190,000 or 5 times your Colonial earnings without proof of insurability - NO UNDERWRITING!
Representatives who have not participated in this program in the past will be eligible to take advantage of UNUM group rates through normal underwriting.
All LTD eligible representatives will have the opportunity to participate in Unum's LTD program. This outstanding benefit allows representatives the ability to cover up to 60% of their New Business Earnings to a maximum of $7500 of monthly income.
Colonial representatives only have until May 31, 2009 to exercise their benefit options.

AIP staff continue open enrollment phone calls to Colonial representatives.
May 24, 2009
The last week of open enrollment for guarantee issue life insurance, AD&D and long-term disability (if qualified).
May 31, 2009
This is the last day of open enrollment. AIP will accept applications for guarantee issue life insurance buy-up, AD&D applications and long-term disability (if qualified) buy-ups postmarked by May 31st. Representatives who do not return applications by then will have to prove evidence of insurability for life insurance buy-ups and will not have the opportunity to purchase additional AD&D or long-term disability (if qualified)
